ABOUT THE SHOW & SPONSORSHIP DETAILS
A CHRISTMAS MUSIC EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE!
For the last few years I’ve watched people from our area travel for miles, many times to Branson or Nashville, to see professionally-produced shows. There is no reason Mississippians should have to travel to see a spectacular, high-quality, professional show when our own state is known as the birthplace of America’s music. Maybe it’s the heat, maybe it’s the culture, or maybe it’s a magical combination of elements unknown, but we consistently produce and promote artists in all genres. This year, I want to help showcase that talent for our own people to see and enjoy – right here in Southwest Mississippi at that most magical time of Christmas. Simultaneously, I want to bring the revenue associated with a professional show to our local businesses in a mutually-rewarding partnership.
On Thursday evening, December 6, we will present a show called “The Cure for Christmas Chaos Live.” It will have the staging, lighting, and artists that are expected for a professional production. All the arrangements are originals exploring both religious and secular themes, and all of the musicians are professionals--some of the most talented in our state! The show will be produced and performed that night at The Brookhaven Building in Brookhaven, MS. And with a production of this size so close to home, it is safe to envision people coming from far and wide.
My goal for “The Cure for Christmas Chaos Live” is to bring our communities together and share the beauty of Christmas music through a Branson-style show that is both entertaining and uplifting. The production will showcase some of our local and regional artists, like former Miss Mississippi Laura Lee Lewis, Singer/Songwriter Sam Mooney, and talented instrumental artists like Temperance Babcock.
THIS IS A NON-PROFIT EVENT!
$1 from every ticket sold will benefit local
Habitat for Humanity Projects,
Promotions for the event are happening NOW. The show is being produced by Lavon Gray and Allison Talley, who directed and produced Carols by Candlelight at First Baptist Jackson for thirteen years.
Obviously, more than just talent is required; a show of this caliber requires financial support. I’m contacting individuals and organizations who I think would be interested in participating in a partnership. I’ve already started receiving commitments and it’s exciting to know that this will come to fruition.
There are sponsorships available for all levels of participation, and the benefits of sponsorship will be lucrative to our own local businesses:
